After your visit to our museum, take time to enjoy the romance of Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach, which are among the coastal towns near Delaware's southern border known as the "Quiet Resorts". Along this strand there are several quaint communities with their own unique character, and miles of pristine beaches, bays, and wildlife
preserves that provide a sanctuary for those who desire escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Beautiful shore birds, wildlife and beaches will transform you into another place and time.
Fenwick Island also boasts the Fenwick Island Lighthouse, built in 1858, which stands majestically at the southern edge of the Island. Earlier in Fenwick's history, a team of surveyors ran the 1751 Trans-peninsular Line from east to west across Delmarva. The first stone set by these surveyors still rests in the center of the lighthouse property.
DiscoverSea Museum would like the opportunity to educate your groups more about the wonderful Maritime Heritage along the Delmarva Coast.
